Is the Nicholas waterproof?

Yes. The Nicholas uses a functional waterproof shell fabric that can withstand a 10,000 mm (10K) water column before being penetrated. Its seams are sealed with adhesive waterproof tape to help prevent water from entering through the stitching. The fabric is also finished with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, which changes the surface tension so water forms droplets that roll off rather than being absorbed.

How warm is the Nicholas?

The Nicholas is insulated with 100% Canadian Origin White Duck Down, one of nature's best insulators. Down offers better warmth than synthetic insulation at the same weight, and Nobis down has a fill power of 650 for dependable warmth without unnecessary bulk. The Nicholas is designed for conditions down to approximately -15°C.

How do the Nicholas's reversible fabrics differ?

The Nicholas offers two distinct finishes: Stretch Ripstop provides lightweight durability and two-way mechanical stretch, while Matte Technical Taffeta creates a smoother, exceptionally lightweight and packable puffer side. Both fabrics incorporate GRS-certified recycled materials and are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified.
